Hey, last Monday, Sabrina and I took a trip into Reading to meet two of our favourite people in the world for the first time face to face. We met Leona and Caitlin nearly a year ago online, but with miles between us, we never actually had the chance to meet up until Monday.
It was a really great day with lots of pictures and emotions (especially when we had to say goodbye) and, as we were in a shopping centre, I bought a few things along the way too.
Okay, first up, Lush, as I seem unable to take a shopping trip to Reading without buying a few bath bombs. We spent a lot of time in there pointing out funny names and things related to some of our conversations over the year, but eventually I decided on the Hoppity Poppity and Ickle Baby Bot bath bombs and the Creamy Candy Bath Bubble Bar Slice. I have used the Hoppity Poppity bath bomb before and know I love it. It isn't like what I usually buy, with bright colours or sweet smells, but it's smell reminds me so much of when I was young and my Gran used to let me smell and collect herbs from her garden when I visited. When I went up to pay I was also offered a new charity pot, for £1. I feel that this pot, of hand and body lotion has quite a distinct smell, which I like but no one else in my family seem to...
We also stopped at SuperDry, and while most of our time was actually spent looking at dresses we needed for the summer but ended up not buying, and taking group mirror selfies, I did eventually pick up a nail polish and lipgloss set in French Fancy Colour.
I made some more 'beauty' purchases at The Body Shop before we had to rush back for our train. Both were hand products and smell lovely; the strawberry hand cleanse gel and the pink grapefruit hand cream.
I think one of my favourite shops of the day has to be the Butts Kiosk we found, a tiny little place that sells some American sweets and drinks. I picked up pop tarts (the confetti cupcake pack) and a Twinkie (which I ate before I got home to take pictures...). I had never tried either of these before, and while I'm not too keen on the pop tarts, I have since forced my Mum to buy us a box of Twinkies from Tescos.
But as I always do, I stopped in a long-term favourite shop of mine: Paperchase. We probably spent the most time in here than anywhere else looking at all the cute things that are for sale. In the end, I only bought a new photo album that I have been wanting for months. I'm planning to keep my Polaroid pictures in here as I feel that they fit well with the 'Click!', 'SNAP SNAP!' design on the front. I just want to have a place to keep all my photos that I can look back at and smile about them, rather than having them in an envelope (as they have been since February) or scattered about my room getting lost.
