Yesterday, we found ourselves under a tree talking about a subject that has crept its way into our heads given some events that have happened around us recently. After our conversation, we both thought it was important to stress the fact that your body is your own, and it is up to you what you do with it, and when.
Many people around us recently have started to become more involved with each other, down to relationships and testing the waters of new friendships. However, we worry that a few of these people aren't as ready to go as far as they are making out to be, judging by comments they have made and how they have acted/reacted. But yet, in order to fit in - they are doing it anyway.
A lot of the activities that have been going on are things that neither of us are comfortable in doing yet - despite what our peers are doing - and we just wanted you to know that you, if you are also under that mindset, are not alone. This was something that both of us were doubting until we sat under that tree and had a long talk about it. We were worried that we were the only ones in the group who didn't want to push past boundaries with boys, that we had set in the past and never crossed.
So, the point we are trying to make, is that as you grow older, whether that's hitting 16, 20, older or younger, you never have to feel pressured to do or try something just because it seems like everyone else around you is. Most likely, there's someone else feeling exactly the same way. Above all, your body is your own, and it's therefore up to you what happens to it and what you allow yourself to do. Please never feel pressured, and if you ever do, please feel free to talk to us - whether that is through our email, the comments section, or over tumblr, twitter or Instagram. We don't want any of you to feel alone.
