This week's posts are about how we're spending our half terms, but hopefully you can get some ideas from it too - and share your own in the comments. We'll be updating our days throughout the week, so make sure to keep checking back!

£20 Challenge
If you've read the rest of our posts in this 'series' of day by days, you might have realised we were planning to do something specifically for 'Flicker of Freedom' today, and here it is. Today, we took a shopping trip and tried out the £20 challenge.
I (Alison) found this last week when I was looking for new blog post ideas.I found it in a blog post '50 Ideas For Great Blog Posts' at number two and thought Sabrina and I could give it a go.
We couldn't find a set of rules, but we worked on the assumption that you have £20 (obviously) to spend buying a whole outfit (we left out shoes after realising how expensive they were). We also decided that we had to choose an outfit that we would then wear out and about, and were supposed to get changed into the new clothes after buying them. However, we ended up avoiding this part of the 'challenge' after realising our only option for a 'changing room' was the public toilets... And let's be honest, getting changed in there really doesn't sound too appealing...
For the challenge, it seems that most tackle charity shops, but we couldn't find any in the shopping centre, and ended up buying only from H&M and New Look.
So here are our outfits:

Sabrina: So, we figured this could be quite difficult considering the price of clothing that we sometimes find ourselves buying, but I wanted my outfit to be casual, and still cute. We thought about what shops would be cheap but still good quality, because, as said above - we want to be able to wear these again. We ended up in H&M first, as their window display seemed to show what we were both looking for.
In the end I ended up with:
• Grey Yin Yang Crop Top - £7.99 (New Look)
• Skinny Low Jeans - £7.99 (H&M)
• Grey Check Frill Trim Socks - £2.99 (New Look)
I like my outfit because it's not only comfortable, but also, something I wouldn't wear normally. The top especially is completely different to everything else I currently own.

Alison: For my outfit, I was going for the same idea as Sabrina; comfortable, wearable, and pretty. Sabrina and I both bought the same jeans (well mine are slightly bigger thanks to my thigh size) and I also got a big, baggy top - the absolute opposite of what Tanya Burr says I should be wearing to suit my figure (one day I will take advice about clothes and makeup on board because it's all really great!).
So, my outfit consisted of:
• Jersey Top - £7.99 (H&M)
• Skinny Low Jeans - £7.99 (H&M)
• Grey socks with pink and green stitching throughout (I couldn't find the exact pair online, so here's some plain grey ones instead) - £2.99 (New Look)
I would say that overall, it was a fun experience... Even if trying to keep within the price bracket was difficult at times - meaning we ended up clothes shopping for way longer than usual. We've both managed to get outfits that we like and will definitely wear again, and for a decent price.
I think we would both recommend that you try the £20 challenge on a shopping trip if you get the chance, and if you do, maybe blog about it and link us to your post in the comments!
See you tomorrow with another blog post,
